Annie Wassmann is a West Michigan artist and retired educator. She received a BA in graphic design with a minor in print technology from Illinois State University, and her MFA in fine art printmaking from Kendall College of Art & Design.

She spent 20 years working at The Art Institute of Chicago where she designed books, collateral materials, and exhibition graphics for the museum before moving to West Michigan and establishing a freelance design practice. Her current and former clients include The Art Institute of Chicago, The Grand Rapids Art Museum, The Chicago Botanic Garden, Fifth Thirds Bank, TerMolen Watkins & Brandt, Senior Neighbors and Soulseeds. She has won a variety of juried awards in graphic design from the American Institute of Architecture, Chicago Women in Publishing, American Association of Museums, and the American Federation of the Arts.

For ten years Annie was an adjunct professor at KCAD and has taught both graphic design and fine art printmaking. Annie’s prints have been included in numerous group exhibitions at the Muskegon Art Museum, the Center for Contemporary Printmaking, the Ann Arbor Art Center, the Van Singel Fine Arts Center, NCCA-Artsplace and the Frauenthal Center.
